Training in hypnosis
In many countries there is no regulation which determines who can call themselves a 'hypnotherapist', and many people who practice hypnosis have no prior qualifications in health-care. Professionals (licensed psychologists, doctors, dentists, and other health-care professionals) should first be qualified to treat patients within their own professional boundaries and should then use hypnosis as an adjunct to their professional skill.
